“The pavilion of Hungary, which is taking part in the 13th China Henan International Investment and Trade Fair as guest of honour, places emphasis on Hungarian innovation and presenting the investment environment it offers to foreign companies”, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s Deputy State Secretary for Increasing Exports István Joó said in a telephone statement to Hungarian news agency MTI on Monday.
“In Mexico City, Hungary’s Eximbank and Latin America’s best-operating investment bank, Mexico-based Bancomext, have concluded an agreement on funding investments on the part of Hungarian enterprises in Mexico, in addition to which Eximbank employees will be receiving training at Mexican state financial institutions”, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade informed Hungarian news agency MTI on Wednesday.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó held talks on primarily economic issues in Mexico on Tuesday, in addition to which he will be signing an agreement on the provision of two billion forints (EUR 6.2 million) in funding towards the reconstruction of two Catholic churches.

The Minister is holding talks with the directors of several large American corporations in the U.S. state, and on Monday will be signing a Memorandum of Understanding on the conclusion of a Hungary-Ohio Economic Cooperation Agreement with Director of the Ohio Development Services Agency Lydia Mihalik.
“Now that several major corporations have established production capacities in Hungary, they are being encouraged to bring engineering and service activities into the country”, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s State Secretary for Information and the International Representation of Hungary Tamás Menczer said at the opening of the Think.BDPST conference in Budapest on Thursday.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó and U.S. Deputy Secretary of State John Sullivan signed a defence agreement regulating military cooperation between Hungary and the United States (Defence Cooperation Agreement, DCA) on the closing day of the meeting of NATO foreign ministers held in Washington to mark the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the alliance.
“Hungarian-Slovakian relations must be placed on a foundation of mutual respect”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said in a telephone statement to Hungarian news agency MTI following a meeting with his Slovakian counterpart Miroslav Lajčák on Thursday in Washington.
