In an interview published in Monday’s edition of Polish national daily newspaper Rzeczpospolita, Minister of Human Resources Zoltán Balog said that Hungary is not anti-refugee, but it does not want Brussels to decide who Hungarians should live together with. Brussels should let Hungarian citizens give their own answer to the question of whether this issue falls under the jurisdiction of the Hungarian parliament, he said. In the interview he also discussed the migration crisis.
Croatia and Hungary sign cultural cooperation agreement

Croatian Minister for Culture Zlatko Hasanbegović and Hungarian Minister of Human Capacities Zoltán Balog signed a bilateral cultural agreement in Budapest on Monday. After the signing ceremony the Minister told journalists that Hungary has established good relations with the new Croatian government.
Government to fund education of refugee children

It is not us who equate migration with terrorism, but terrorists themselves

In an interview with German international public service TV channel Deutsche Welle, Minister of Human Capacities Zoltán Balog said that it is not the Hungarian government which equates migration with terrorism, but the terrorists themselves. The interview, broadcast on Sunday, was entitled “I hate the fence, but it was necessary”.
More money to remain with families next year

On Wednesday, State Minister for Schools László Palkovics said that the Schools Education Round Table remains the proper way of discussing the problems of the schools system; he was referring to a strike announced for today by the “I Want to Teach” movement. He said that today’s action does not serve the interests of either students or teachers, and is thus misguided.
