Prime Minister Viktor Orbán will decide on further measures necessary after the restrictions on movement expire on Saturday in light of all relevant considerations, taking expert advice into consideration, the Minister of State for International Communication and Relations-Head of the Communications Task Force stressed on the public service television news channel M1 on Wednesday.
“Hungary is continuing to provide assistance towards combatting the novel coronavirus epidemic to neighbouring states that are in difficulties, and these activities are fully in harmony with the related European Union policy”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó declared following a videoconference of EU development affairs ministers on Wednesday.
On Thursday afternoon, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán will announce the measures which will be necessary in the effort to contain the coronavirus epidemic before the Easter holidays, the Minister of State for International Communication and Relations said in a video message on Wednesday.
In some elderly care homes, health care has been “compromised”; therefore, in elderly care homes there will be compulsory inspections, the Chief Medical Officer said at the online press conference of the Operational Group responsible for the containment of the coronavirus epidemic on Wednesday.

In the effort to contain the coronavirus epidemic, the government looks upon municipalities as partners, cooperation is essential, the Minister heading the Prime Minister’s Office stated.
All family benefits will remain in place also during the containment of the virus, Minister of State for Family Affairs Katalin Novák said at the Wednesday press conference of the Operational Group.

Hungary is using around 20 per cent of its annual income for the containment of the coronavirus, and with this the government is placing every fifth forint in the service of families and businesses, Finance Minister Mihály Varga said on Wednesday, after the meeting of the financial task force.
