Seven-party consultation regarding measures related to action against coronavirus epidemic has been concluded

On Thursday 27 February 2020, from 5.00 p.m. Deputy Prime Minister-Interior Minister Dr Sándor Pintér and Minister of Human Capacities Prof. Dr. Miklós Kásler informed representatives of the parliamentary groups of parties about the measures adopted by the government as part of the action against the coronavirus epidemic.

In Budapest on Wednesday, at a press conference related to coronavirus, the government-appointed Operational Group announced new measures in addition to the 28-point action plan adopted in January. Gergely Gulyás, the Minister heading the Prime Minister’s Office, stated that at present the Government is not aware of anyone in Hungary who has tested positive for coronavirus.

Another Hungarian will be placed in hospital quarantine in Budapest

Another Hungarian suspected of having been infected with the coronavirus will be placed in hospital quarantine in Budapest on Tuesday. At a press conference in Budapest, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s Minister of State for Information and the International Representation of Hungary Tamás Menczer told reporters that the Hungarian truck driver had been in Lombardy, does not have a temperature, and is feeling fine.
