The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade was shocked to hear about the attack on the military headquarters and the French Embassy in the capital of Burkina Faso, which claimed many lives.
“There is no closer and more effective cooperation in the European Union than the cooperation between the countries of Central Europe, the V4”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said on Friday in the Parliament Building.
In an interview with Miskolc TV on Thursday, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said that today Hungary faces two possible futures: either it will have a national government, or George Soros’s people will form a government.
On the Kossuth Radio programme “180 Minutes” on Friday, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán spoke about next month’s Hungarian general election, and background “pacts” between opposition parties which would ensure only a single opposition candidate in each constituency. He said that such pacts – which in each electoral district would pit a pro-immigration candidate against a government anti-immigration candidate representing the formation of a national government – may have already been reached. Referring to other potential opposition candidates, he predicted that “The others will disappear from the scene […] one way or another”.
“Great Britain is one of Hungary’s most important allies”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said on Friday in Budapest following talks with his British counterpart.
Speaking at the opening of a professional conference, Minister of Defence István Simicskó emphasized that in accordance with the armed forces development plan of the Hungarian Defence Forces, the Hungarian defence industry, too, has several possibilities and tasks.
“The Polish Interior Ministry’s State Secretary, Krzysztof Kozłowski has a positive view with regard to the Stop Soros package and Poland is working on a similar bill”, Minister of State Miklós Soltész told Hungarian news agency MTI on Thursday during a working visit to Warsaw.
Last year, Hungary’s GDP grew by 4.2 percent, the largest increase in 12 years. With this, the economy has disproved several gloomy market prognoses, among them those envisioned by credit rating institutions, Minister of State for the Utilization of EU Funds Balázs Rákossy said at a conference organized by business daily Világgazdaság.
According to Government Spokesperson Zoltan Kovács, now is the time to “keep our wits about us” to prevent the realisation of the political intention to turn the states of Central Europe, including Hungary, into immigrant states.
“The EU accession of the Western Balkan countries bears with it a huge economic opportunity, but if these countries remain outside the EU it could give rise to major problems”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said at a conference on Thursday organised by the Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Budapest office of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.
