The Hungarian segment of the fifth V4 International Bicycle Race took place on 22 April. At the opening ceremony Ms Krisztina Varju, Ministerial Commissioner for the Hungarian Presidency of the Visegrad Group 2017-18, highlighted the significance of Visegrad Cooperation and underlined that Hungary’s Presidency in the V4, starting in July, will focus on improving infrastructural, economic and people-to-people connectivity in the region.
At Hungexpo in Budapest on Monday the opening event was held in the three-day, tenth-anniversary Szakma Sztár (“Vocational Star”) Festival, organised by the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In an address at the event, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said that the Government will develop and launch a number of new schemes together with representative bodies from professions, will arrange digital skills development for 260,000 workers, and will provide special scholarships for those studying IT. The festival will host the finals of the national vocational study competition and the “Outstanding Vocational Student” contest.

Hungary expects every party concerned in the conflict in Ukraine to guarantee the safety of the observers of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó told the Hungarian news agency MTI on Monday.
