Bertalan Havasi, head of the Press Office of the Prime Minister, has told kormany.hu that, in a letter sent to British prime minister Theresa May, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán offered his condolences to the relatives of the victims of Wednesday’s terrorist attack in London.
Dr István Mikola, State Secretary for Security Policy and International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade had talks in Ottawa on 22 March where he met, among others, with Timothy Sargent, Deputy Minister for International Trade, and Alexandra Bugailiskis, Assistant Deputy Minister responsible for our region.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade has no information about Hungarian nationals having been involved in the London attack on Wednesday, the Ministry’s press chief told the public service television news channel M1.
The Hungarian Government offers its most sincere condolences to the families of the victims of the London attack, and wishes the injured swift recovery, the Foreign Ministry informed the Hungarian news agency MTI on Wednesday evening.

“If a country is dissatisfied, it still cannot act unilaterally, it must do so in agreement with the other member States”, Minister of Human Capacities Zoltán Balog declared on ORF Austrian public television’s news programme late on Tuesday evening in reaction to the fact that the Austrian Government is planning to reduce the benefits paid to Hungarians working in Austria by changing the regulations of family benefits.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg will also be having a meeting with Prime Minister Viktor Orbán in Budapest on Thursday, head of the Press Office of the Prime Minister Bertalan Havasi confirmed to Hungarian news agency MTI on Wednesday.
“Traffic and tourist restrictions are expected over the weekend in the Italian capital because of the 60th anniversary of the signing of the Treaties of Rome”, the Consular Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade informed Hungarian citizens travelling to Rome.
