“Chinese automobile manufacturer BYD is establishing Europe’s first electric bus factory in Komárom with an investment of 6.2 billion forints, towards which the Government is providing a grant of 925 million forints”, the Minster of Foreign Affairs and Trade announced at a press conference.

The Parliament website has stated that on Monday Prime Minister Viktor Orbán submitted to the National Assembly his proposal for a constitutional amendment which would ban the collective relocation of non-Hungarians to Hungary.
The Prime Minister has said that on Monday he would submit to Parliament a Bill for amendment of the Constitution in relation to the referendum on migrant quotas. Viktor Orbán spoke about this on Kossuth Radio’s “Sunday News” programme, stating that he was counting on the support of every Member of Parliament for the amendment, which will clearly state that non-Hungarians shall not be collectively settled in Hungary.
György Bakondi, Chief Security Advisor to the Prime Minister, has told Hungarian television channel M1 that the events of the past couple of days have shown that Europe’s internal security has deteriorated dramatically, and that as a result nation states have gone on the defensive. Meanwhile, he added, at EU level decision-makers have “come to a standstill” with the approach which Hungary is seeking to change.

Thanks to the Government’s prudent fiscal policy, the accumulated deficit of the central sub sector of the state budget fell to a record low level of HUF 2.4bn. This figure has been unprecedented for some fifteen years. In light of favourable fiscal data compiled recently, the full-year ESA deficit is set to be better than formerly anticipated; therefore the Government has modified its fiscal target from 2 percent to 1.7 percent of GDP.
“President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker should be protecting Europe’s interests”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said in a statement to Hungarian news agency MTI on Friday, pointing out that “he should at least not be offended when the Hungarian Government does so instead of him”.
