In Parliament on Wednesday Deputy Prime Minister responsible for Hungarian Communities Abroad Zsolt Semjén received 55 Hungarian children from Transcarpathia. Following the reception, he urged Hungarians from Transcarpathia to assume Hungarian citizenship.
Following talks with the mayors of Martonfa (Baranya County) and Sormás (Zala County), where two new migrant reception centres are to be established, Minister of State for Local Government at the Ministry of Interior Tibor Pogácsás told Hungarian news agency MTI on Tuesday that the Government will do everything to maintain public security and normal everyday life in the two settlements.

Positive trends in Hungary’s trade continued in May as well: including the month’s growth, Hungary’s foreign trade balance posted a surplus of EUR 3.5 billion in the period from January to May. This figure is EUR 741 million higher than in the corresponding period last year.

The old Röszke-Horgos border-crossing station has been re-opened.
