Compared to 2012, the amount of EU funds disbursed has doubled: in 2014 HUF 1 840 billion was disbursed. For this year, the Government is working with a figure of HUF 2 263 billion, so that Hungary will not waste a single forint of the EU funds available in the budgetary cycle ending this year.

According to the Government Commissioner in Charge of Maintaining the Performance of the Paks Nuclear Power Plant Attila Aszódi, the fuel supply contract of the two new blocks of the plant will be finalized based on the Finnish model; the agreement may soon be concluded.

EU payments well above HUF 7 000 billion

With the March payments included, Hungary has succeeded in drawing HUF 7200 billion from the funds available for Hungary during the 2007-2013 budgetary period. Until mid-March, bills and pre-payments amounting to HUF 325 billion have been paid and accounted. According to the monthly payment rate set in the respective government decree, the target for the end of March is HUF 395 billion, which we have succeeded in fulfilling to 82% by the middle of the month.
