Bertalan Havasi, head of the Press Office of the Prime Minister, has reported to kormany.hu on a meeting in Budapest on Tuesday between Michel Barnier, the EU’s chief Brexit negotiator, and Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. During the meeting Mr. Orbán said that Hungary has a vested interest in a Brexit which is fair, and not punitive.

Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief, has informed kormany.hu that, in recognition of the result for the Hungarian alliance in the Romanian general election, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán had “doffed his hat” in written congratulations to Hunor Kelemen, President of the Democratic Alliance of Hungarians in Romania (RMDSZ) and Zsolt Bíró, President of the Hungarian Civic Party (MKP).
