The next years will have to be about people who work hard every single day – Prime Minister Viktor Orbán stated in his State of the Nation address delivered in Várkert Bazár in Budapest on Friday.
Friday morning Prime Minister Viktor Orbán welcomed British Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Philip Hammond in his office– Press Chief of the Prime Minister’s Office Bertalan Havasi announced.
Prime Minister Viktor Orbán will deliver his traditional State of the Nation address Friday afternoon in Várkert Bazár, Budapest.
It is a question for the future how East and West will be able to cooperate effectively, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said at the Hungarian-Turkish business forum held in Budapest on Tuesday.
At a joint press conference held with Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán stressed that there is a need to develop a solution to ensure gas supply to Central Europe – and thus to Hungary – via Turkey.
The relationship of the EU and Russia can be fixed on the basis of the Minsk agreement signed last week on the resolution of the conflict in Eastern Ukraine, Viktor Orbán said in an interview with a Russian daily newspaper Kommersant. Parts of the interview were published in the online version of the paper already on Wednesday.
"Bolstering and making domestic capital competitive is not just a matter of business but that of freedom as well", Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said in Warsaw on Thursday at the event organised by the Polish Chamber of Commerce, where he was honoured with the Golden Umbrella Award.
On Hungary’s side, the strong commitment to the Polish-Hungarian friendship still prevails – Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said at a joint press conference with Polish Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz, held after their meeting in Warsaw on Thursday.
According to the Prime Minister’s Press Chief Bertalan Havasi, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán will visit Warsaw on Thursday where he will hold negotiations with Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz and will be presented with the Golden Umbrella Award of the Polish Chamber of Commerce.
Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and President Vladimir Putin agreed that Hungary can use the amount of gas which has not been consumed so far, within long-term gas contracts due to expire this year. Also, Hungary will pay for the amount it actually consumes. “We have firmly secured energy supply for Hungarian families and have also guaranteed the operation of Hungarian industry,” the Prime Minister said.
