On Friday at a press conference held after the summit of prime ministers in Warsaw, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán described the past one year of the countries of the Visegrád Cooperation (V4) as good. On 1 July, Poland took over the presidency of the V4 from the Czech Republic which held it for a year.

If Hungary does not allow the coronavirus epidemic to start spreading again, if “we keep our wits about us in the protection of the borders,” if we support investments and job creation, and if we do not allow the West to take us “for a fool,” then we can come out of the crisis even stronger, the Prime Minister said on Kossuth Radio’s programme ‘Good morning, Hungary’ on Friday. He also highlighted that if health care experts – whom he thanked on the occasion of Semmelweis Day – prepare themselves well and work well, then there will be no second wave.

EU budget will be at the centre of Friday V4 summit
