At a meeting convened for the heads of Hungarian diplomatic missions abroad, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said that conflicts should be handled where they emerge, because it is an illusion to believe that the migrants arriving in Europe can be sent back.

At a conference entitled “Dialogue and Identity”, organised on the fourth anniversary of adoption of the Fundamental Law of Hungary, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán declared that enacting the Fundamental Law had been a historic undertaking and a necessity. An agreement signed by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and Mayor of Zalaegerszeg Zoltán Balaicz includes provision for a swimming pool, road and rail construction. The Government will also support the city with hospital development and the establishment of a pilgrimage site related to Cardinal József Mindszenty.

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán announced that by 2018 three developments will be implemented in Sopron: construction of the M85 four-lane expressway, the restoration of the Baroque town centre and development of the World Heritage site around Lake Fertő.
The price of energy is of the utmost significance from the Hungarian viewpoint, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán stressed after the summit of the heads of states and prime ministers of the Member States of the European Union.
At a joint press conference held with Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán stressed that there is a need to develop a solution to ensure gas supply to Central Europe – and thus to Hungary – via Turkey.
Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and President Vladimir Putin agreed that Hungary can use the amount of gas which has not been consumed so far, within long-term gas contracts due to expire this year. Also, Hungary will pay for the amount it actually consumes. “We have firmly secured energy supply for Hungarian families and have also guaranteed the operation of Hungarian industry,” the Prime Minister said.
