On Friday Head of the Cabinet Office of the Prime Minister Antal Rogán told Hungarian television channel TV2 in its morning show Mokka that Magyar Telekom abused its powers being a large company with lots of money and influence when it terminated its sponsorship contract with pop singer Ákos Kovács.
Minister of State for Government Communication Bence Tuzson told Hungarian television channel M1 that if Hungary takes the stance that migrants cannot be returned to the country, it will also be able to prevent it happening.
In an address before the start of Parliament’s daily business on Monday, Head of Cabinet of the Prime Minister Antal Rogán said that the threat of mandatory resettlement quotas still exists, as Brussels is still pushing for mandatory distribution and the forced resettlement of migrants among Member States.
At a press conference held on Tuesday in Szeged, Head of Cabinet of the Prime Minister Antal Rogán said that on average, every twelfth second a new migrant enters the European Union illegally; there is no real control t at the continent’s southern border.
Hungary is aware that there is no strong Europe, there is no strong Central-Europe and above all, there is no strong Hungary without a strong Germany, Bence Tuzson stated.
Europe must completely renew itself if Europe is to remain Europe, if we want to preserve European unity, Antal Rogán, the Minister heading the Prime Minister’s Cabinet Office said at the inauguration of the road named after Konrad Adenauer in Budapest and the Adenauer bust in Városliget on Wednesday.
According to the Prime Minister’s Cabinet Chief, the Brussels quota regime could mean the relocation to Hungary of a number of people that is equal to the population of Szeged over a period of five years. Antal Rogán said in Parliament on Monday: the quotas mean mandatory settlement which the Hungarian Government finds unlawful, and would therefore like to turn to the European Court on this account.
On Friday, Minister of State for Government Communication Bence Tuzson told public television channel M1 that if a permanent distribution quota were to be introduced among EU Member States for accepting migrants who are arriving continuously, then hundreds of thousands of people could arrive in Hungary.
On Friday, Government Spokesperson Zoltán Kovács told public television channel M1 that introducing a mandatory quota system aimed at distributing illegal migrants among the EU Member States would be absolutely “absurd”, as the European Council has made the decision of not accepting one twice already: in April and in June.
In a decree adopted on Monday the Government laid down the tasks and powers of the Head of Cabinet of the Prime Minister. The decree means that, as Head of Cabinet of the Prime Minister, Antal Rogán will organise, monitor and coordinate the establishment of the Government’s general policy, and he may request special information on its implementation for the Prime Minister.
