During the upcoming years, 4.7 million euros will be available for the development of beekeeping, 20 percent more than the current level of funding, primarily for the modernisation of technology and equipment, the Ministry of Agriculture’s Parliamentary State Secretary announced on Tuesday in Dunavarsány at the inauguration of a honey packaging plant owned by a family business.
Farmers engaged in animal husbandry and milk production can expect to receive increased funding in 2015, Minister of Agriculture Sándor Fazekas announced on Friday at the inauguration of Jász-Föld Zrt’s expanded animal husbandry unit on the outskirts of Jászladány in Hungary’s Northern Great Plains region.
“The Research Institute of Agricultural Economics (AKI) not only facilitates the work of the State Secretariat responsible for the agricultural economy, but provides professional information to all of the Ministry’s state secretariats. This activity has made the Research Institute the Ministry’s most important base of economic research, and with regard to its function has made it the Ministry’s key background institution”, György Czerván said at the conference organised in honour of the sixty-year-old research institute.
