“Hungary would like develop a closer relationship than ever before with Brazil; in view of the fact that both countries have a very similar approach to global political issues, we must translate this exceptional political consensus into mutual economic advantages”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó declared on Tuesday evening in Brasilia at a joint press conference with his Brazilian counterpart Ernesto Araújo.
“The development of economic cooperation between Hungary and Brazil is on the threshold of a great opportunity”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said at a Brazil-Hungary business forum in Sao Paulo on Tuesday.
“Through creating an opportunity for the two-way transportation of natural gas between Hungary and Romania, the security of the country’s natural gas supply is further improving”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó declared on Monday at the inauguration of FGSZ Co. Ltd.’s new compressor station in Csanádpalota.
According to Péter Szijjártó, it would be useful to both Romania and Hungary if they were to forge closer relations, and Central Europe would also become stronger as a result. The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade spoke about this in Arad, Romania, at a joint press conference with President of the Democratic Alliance of Hungarians in Romania (RMDSZ) Hunor Kelemen on Monday morning.
“The Hungarian economy is small, but extremely open, and accordingly international corporations are paying a major role in its improving performance, but it is Hungarian enterprises that are the soul of the economy”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said at the inauguration of Kovács Ltd.’s new plant in Mezőkövesd on Friday.
“The rights of Hungarians living in the United Kingdom cannot be reduced even following the termination of Britain’s EU membership (Brexit)”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said on Thursday in London prior to talks with several high-ranking members of the British government, including Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab and Brexit Minister Steve Barclay.
In a statement to Hungarian news agency MTI, Mr. Szijjártó declared: “Hungary’s goal is to preserve the validity of our previous agreement stating that the rights of citizens must be mutually respected, irrespective of the form Brexit takes and irrespective of whether they live in the European Union or in Great Britain”.
“The European Union should admit Montenegro and Serbia before 2025; both countries are essentially ready for accession, which is also in the interests of the EU”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó emphasised at the Warsaw Security Forum in the Polish capital on Wednesday.

“All of Hungary’s gas storage facilities are full, which not only assures domestic supply over the winter, but means that the Hungarian state will also be able to profit from renting out storage capacity”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó declared in a statement to Hungarian news agency from Moscow on Wednesday.
