According to the Ministry of Interior’s Parliamentary State Secretary, the triple protection along the Serbian border is working; the number of migrants attempting to cross the Hungarian-Serbian border illegally has fallen to under 1 percent of its 14 September level.
The Hungarian and Slovenian police launched a joint patrolling operation on the entire Hungarian-Slovenian border section, and they also supply one another with real-time information on an ongoing basis, the Interior Minister said on Monday at the Rédics-Hosszúfalu (Dolga vas) border crossing point.
The Slovenian and Hungarian Ministers of Interior will meet to discuss border control and patrolling regulations.
The Röszke border crossing station situated on the M5 motorway was reopened on Sunday morning after five days.

In Subotica on Thursday, Serbian and Hungarian interior ministers Nebojša Stefanović and Sándor Pintér discussed the migration situation and possible solutions.
The Government of Hungary is protecting the country’s borders, and expects the same from other EU Member States, with special emphasis on the importance of Schengen borders.
Some 4500 migrants were transported by bus to the Austrian border overnight, The Minister of Interior’s Parliamentary State Secretary Károly Kontrát announced at a press conference on Saturday morning.
