Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó presented the Order of Merit of the Republic of Hungary (civil division) to Kazuhiko Takeushi, the leading executive of the Denso Corporation’s diesel injector division, in Tokyo on Wednesday. The Minister thanked Kazuhiko Takeushi and Denso for their confidence in Hungary, with which Hungary has proven that it is capable of manufacturing world-class products.
The Ministry for Innovation and Technology remains open to negotiations in the interests of the development of the vocational training system. According to a new bill recently put before Parliament, teachers working in vocational training can expect to receive an average salary increase of 30 percent from July 2020, for which the government is earmarking additional annual funding of 35 billion forints (EUR 106 million). During the past few days the Ministry has also held talks about its plans with the two largest teacher interest representation organisations, the Trade Union of Teachers and the Democratic Trade Union of Teachers.
The meeting of the V4 Senior Body comprising the four countries’ deputy defence ministers and defence state secretaries was held on 4-5 November in Prague under the auspices of the Czech Republic which currently holds the rotating presidency of the Visegrád Group.
The Hungarian SME Strategy, which was developed with the involvement of 1000 enterprises, was presented on Tuesday. In his opening lecture, Minister for Innovation and Technology László Palkovics said: “The reinforcement and increased export revenues of small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) is being facilitated via training courses, digital development projects and tax cuts”.

In a message Prime Minister Viktor Orbán congratulated Ludovic Orban, President of the centre-right National Liberal Party on his election as Romania’s prime minister.
