According to plans, from 2022 the government will only support the procurement and further development of electric buses, and as part of the national bus strategy, in the next ten years they will spend HUF 36 billion on the procurement of mostly electric buses.
World-wide some 820 million people are starving, and two billion persons suffer from malnutrition. In order to reduce the number of starving people, we must first reduce our food loss and waste, and by doing so we additionally contribute to the responsible management of natural resources and environmental sustainability, Minister of State for Food Chain Supervision Róbert Zsigó stressed at the 46th session of the Committee on World Food Security held in Rome.

16 October is United Nations World Food Day, the motto of which for this year is: “Our Actions ARE Our Future. Healthy Diets for a Zero Hunger World”. To mark World Food Day, the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), Hungary’s Ministry of Agriculture and the Hungarian Food Bank Association held a joint event in Budapest.
The “Hungarian Days” were held for the fifth time in Tel Aviv on 15-17 October. At the large-scale festival realised within the framework of the Israeli Hungarian Cultural Season with funding from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Ministry’s Deputy State Secretary for Cultural Diplomacy Márton Schőberl gave a speech and planted a carob tree as a reinforcement of Israeli-Hungarian relations.
Minister of Agriculture István Nagy received the Republic of Turkey’s Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, India’s Minister of Water Resources, and the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in his office on Tuesday.
