“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade summoned Romania’s Ambassador to Budapest following the events in Úzvölgy (Valea Uzului), but in an unparalleled manned in diplomacy, he refused to enter into dialogue”, Deputy Foreign Minister Levente Magyar said in Budapest on Friday.
On behalf of the Government of Hungary, the Ministry of Finance submitted a credit request to the China Exim Bank with respect to the construction of the Hungarian section of the Budapest-Belgrade railway line, Finance Minister Mihály Varga announced.
“The Hungarian Cabinet has submitted a letter of protest to the Romanian Cabinet because of events at the military cemetery in Úzvölgy (Valea Uzului) on Thursday”, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s Parliamentary State Secretary and Deputy Foreign Minster Levente Magyar told Hungarian news agency MTI.
“Thanks to the agreements concluded with Russia on Thursday, the quantity of gas required for the operation of Hungarian industry and the heating of homes and houses for 2020 is at our disposal, partly physically, and partly according to agreements”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó declared in a statement to Hungarian news agency MTI following the signing of the contracts at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
The Government is protecting the results achieved by the Hungarian economy to date; this is the goal of next year’s budget and of the Economy Protection Action Plan.
“Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó has spoken to Romanian Foreign Minister Teodor Meleșcanu by telephone and strongly requested that the Romanian party not provide space for provocation with relation to the events being held in Úzvölgy (Valea Uzului) on Thursday, and does everything possible to avoid physical atrocities”, the Ministry’s State Secretary for Communication and the International Representation of Hungary Tamás Menczer said in a statement to Hungarian news agency MTI on Thursday.
The 2020 budget will be the budget of supporting families; the sum available for supporting families will exceed 2200 billion forints (EUR 6.8 bn) next year.
“Cooperation with Baden-Württemberg is important in view of the fact that this German state is the engine of European innovation, meaning that through joint effort we can contribute to increasing Europe’s competitiveness”, Minister for Innovation and Technology László Palkovics said on Thursday in Budapest.
“The Government’s goal is to protect the results that the economy has achieved to date; the economy grew by 5.3 percent in the first quarter of this year, but according to certain international forecasts the economic growth of the global economy and the eurozone are both experiencing a slowdown, and this is why the Government has drawn up the Economy Protection Action Plan”, Minister of Finance Mihály Varga said at his annual hearing before Parliament’s Economic Committee on Wednesday.
The government will decide on the final concept of the House of Fates Museum, and in developing this the cabinet continues to count on the involvement of both participating organisations, the Public Foundation for the Research of Central and Eastern European History and Society and the Unified Hungarian Jewish Congregation (EMIH), Gergely Gulyás told the Hungarian news agency MTI on Wednesday.
