“The Government will be contesting the European Parliament (EP) vote on the Sargentini Report at the European Court of Justice in view of the fact that a two-thirds majority was achieved by ignoring the votes in abstention, in violation of the Treaty of Lisbon”, Minister heading the Prime Minister’s Office Gergely Gulyás announced, relaying the decision made at Monday’s Cabinet meeting.
“The next EU budget must concentrate on research & development, digitalisation and reinforcing cohesion”, Minister for Innovation and Technology László Palkovics said at a press conference held by the Friends of Cohesion group of countries on Monday in Budapest.
“This year, the apple harvest is expected to amount to 730,000 tons, exceeding the ten-year average by around 25%. Approximately 25-30% of the harvest is eating apple and 70-75% is industrial apple”, Minister of Agriculture István Nagy said on Monday at the press conference to launch the apple consumption promotion campaign in Budapest.

According to Chief Security Advisor to the Prime Minister György Bakondi, attempts are being made to force Hungary to abandon its current migration policy, to accept Brussels’ plans, to let migrants in, to dismantle the fence and to take in people to be relocated under the quota regime.
