“The Government will continue its outreach activities even following the close of the National Consultation”, Government Spokesperson Zoltán Kovács said on Kossuth Radio’s “180 Minutes” program on Friday morning.
“Hungary is not anti-EU at all, and in fact would like to return to the European Union’s fundamental values, for instance with regard to preserving national sovereignty”, the Government Spokesperson said on Hungarian M1 television’s Thursday evening current affairs program.

In order to protect Hungary, we must stop migration, we must support Hungarian families, and we must reinforce Christian identity, Zsolt Semjén stated at the closing event of the country tour which accompanied the national consultation.
According to data from March-May 2017, the number of private sector jobs increased by 108 thousand year-on-year, while the number of people employed under the public work scheme and of people working abroad declined by 22 thousand and 8 thousand, respectively, year-on-year. The number of jobless people fell by 48 thousand, to 203 thousand, thus the unemployment rate edged down to 4.4 percent as a result of a 59-month downward trend.
