The third session of the Hungary-Turkmenistan Inter-Governmental Committee (IGC) on Economic Cooperation was held in Ashgabat on 15-16 June 2017, chaired by Minister of State for Security Policy and International Cooperation Dr. István Mikola and Turkmenistan’s Minister of Economy and Development Batir Bazarov.
“It is a recognition of the performance of Hungarian healthcare that the 3rd CEEC-China Health Ministers’ Meeting is being held in Budapest”, the Ministry of Human Capacities’ Parliamentary State Secretary said on Hungarian M1 television’s Monday morning current affairs program.
Minister of Justice László Trócsányi represented the Government of Hungary at the meeting of the advisory board of the Council of Europe, the Venice Commission, held on 16 June 2017. One of the items on the agenda of the meeting was the adoption of the opinion of the Venice Commission on the Act on the transparency of organisations receiving support from abroad.

“Having seen the past two years and the threat of terrorism affecting Europe, it is certain that the Hungarian Government made a good and responsible decision when it decided to construct the fence”, the Ministry of Interior’s Parliamentary State Secretary, Károly Kontrát told Hungarian news agency MTI on Friday.
At an oath-taking ceremony for 1,206 border guards – or “border hunters” – in Heroes’ Square in Budapest on Saturday, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said that Hungary was the first country to prove that the mass population movement of recent years – which had previously been seen as unstoppable – could indeed be stopped, and could be reversed.
