Positive economic outlook also among drivers of housing boom in Hungary

2016 was the year of a positive U-turn on Hungary’s housing market, Minister for National Economy Mihály Varga said at the property market conference organized by business and news weekly Figyelő. Thanks to the Government policy focusing on the wellbeing of families and the Hungarian economy, this year’s prospects are also positive, he added.

Feed protein programme to replace GMOs

“The Ministry of Agriculture is working on a feed protein programme aimed at replacing the need to import GMO animal feeds”, Minister of Agriculture Sándor Fazekas announced on M1 Hungarian television and Kossuth Radio’s “180 Minutes” program this morning. “The majority of consumers in Hungary reject GMO foods, and accordingly our goal is to ensure that animal feeds are also 100 percent GMO-free within the near future”, he explained.
