Based on the Government’s decision, the Budapest service centre of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) will extend its operations both in terms of floor space and staff, the State Secretary for Security Policy and International Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade announced.
The illegal migratory pressure on Hungary does not seem to ease, and that is the reason why a temporary security barrier needs to be built on the Hungarian–Serbian border, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szíjjártó said on Monday, 13 July on M1 news channel of the Hungarian television.

Szombathely National Prison has been expanded with some 700 new places as part of a HUF 500 million (EUR 1.6m) development project. Hungary strongly condemns the terrorist attack committed against the Italian Consulate in Cairo at the weekend which claimed one human life. In consequence of the attack, ten people were also injured, and the building accommodating the foreign representation sustained extensive damage.
