A strong Central Europe is a common interest of Hungary and Slovenia

A strong Central Europe within the European Union, both in a political and economic sense, is a common interest of Hungary and Slovenia. This is not an anti-EU position, but very much a pro-EU stance as a strong Europe cannot exist without strong Member States and regions which are capable of growth, Szabolcs Takács, the Minister of State for EU Affairs at the Prime Minister’s Office told the Hungarian news agency MTI in an interview given by telephone on Thursday.

Hungary expects the Romanian Presidency to be understanding towards countries that are against immigration

The Hungarian Government expects the Romanian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, which is due to commence in January, to be understanding towards the positions of member states that are against immigration and not take the debate on migration in a direction that aggravates tensions, but instead concentrate on issues on which there exists a consensus, such as the protection of Europe’s external borders”, Minister of State for European Affairs Szabolcs Takács from the Prime Minister’s Office explained in a statement to Hungarian news agency MTI following talks in Bucharest with Romanian Minister without Portfolio responsible for next year’s Romanian EU Council Presidency George Ciamba.
American-Hungarian cooperation agreement concluded on the protection of persecuted christians

A cooperation agreement on humanitarian aid was signed on Tuesday by the State Secretariat for the Aid of Persecuted Christians and the Hungary Helps Program and USAID, the international development agency of the United States of America.
