Hungary may produce the region’s most distinctive economic growth by 2020

Thanks to the revamping of development policy and the acceleration of calls for proposals, Hungary may become the country producing the region’s most distinctive economic growth by 2020, Nándor Csepreghy stated at his press conference which he held in connection with the parliamentary debate on the utilisation of EU funds.

According to a survey conducted on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Rome, the majority of Hungarians are unsatisfied with the Brussels leadership, but would not leave the European Union. At the forum entitled „60 Years of the Treaty of Rome – Agony or Awakening in Europe?”, the State Secretary for EU Affairs at the Prime Minister’s Office said in evaluation: there is cause to celebrate and to respect anniversaries as this gives us the opportunity to define the values of European integration.

Government keeps its word, all EU calls for proposals to be published next week

The Government keeps its word, and with the calls for proposals to be released next week, 100 per cent of the calls for proposals of the EU grant cycle between 2014-2020 will be published. As a result, Hungary will be 30 to 40 per cent ahead of its counterparts in the region, the Minister heading the Prime Minister’s Office said at the conference Portfolio EU Funds 2017 held on Thursday in Budapest.
