“Negotiations are beginning on the opening of the Hungarian-Slovenian border”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó stated on his Facebook page on Thursday.
“The further easing of restrictions is occurring along the Slovakian-Hungarian border in view of the fact that on Thursday the Slovakian government made it possible for its citizens to travel to neighbouring countries, including Hungary, for no longer than a day without the mandatory need to go into quarantine upon returning home”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said on his Facebook page on Thursday.
“Hungary has prevented the uncontrolled spread of the coronavirus epidemic, and accordingly from now on the new task of crisis management is job protection”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó declared at a presentation of competitiveness program funding certificates on Thursday.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó held a telephone meeting with Israeli Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi, who he congratulated on the formation and appointment of the new Israeli government.
“Another crossing point was opened along the Hungarian-Romanian border on Thursday morning, this time between Nyírábrány and Valea Iui Mihai (Érmihályfalva)”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó announced on his Facebook page.

“Seven hundred respirators arrived in Hungary on Tuesday and Wednesday; the instruments will be going to hospitals”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said in a statement to Hungarian news agency MTI.

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó held several sets of talks with Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg, Czech Foreign Minister Tomas Tomáš Petříček and Slovakian Foreign Minister Ivan Korčok on Monday and Tuesday concerning the possible easing of the restrictions introduced with relation to traffic across Hungary’s common borders with the countries in question.
