In Brussels, the Hungarian Government has initiated an immediate decision by the European Union on joint action to assure the protection of Greece's border, which also represents the EU's external border – Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó announced on Sunday evening.
Hungary will continue to fully adhere to EU law “whether our neighbours like it or not”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó told Hungarian News agency MTI on Friday.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade has made an official complaint to the Austrian Ambassador to Budapest with reference to comments made by Austrian Chancellor Werner Faymann in German news magazine Der Spiegel, and has summoned the Ambassador to visit the Ministry on Monday morning.
