The European Commission applies double standards when it only finds objectionable the rejection of the decision on the EU refugee quotas in the case of three Member States, while the other Member States have also failed to implement it, the Parliamentary State Secretary of the Ministry of Justice stressed at a press conference held on Thursday in Budapest.
Minister of Justice László Trócsányi spoke about the fact that Hungary’s cooperation with the European Commission “is not fully reassuring” at his annual hearing before Parliament’s European Affairs Committee on Monday.
“The Government regards the infringement proceedings with relation to Hungary’s legislation on foreign-funded non-governmental organisations as unfounded, and it stated this on Tuesday in its letter of response to the European Commission”, The Ministry of Justice’s Parliamentary State Secretary Pál Völner said at a press conference in Budapest on 5 December 2017.
“Hungary supports the European integration of Kosovo, and Pristina’s efforts to be afforded visa-free travel and membership of international organisations”, Minister of Justice László Trócsányi stressed in a telephone statement to Hungarian news agency MTI following his official visit to Kosovo.

“The migration crisis caught Europe unprepared, and according to Hungary the solution proposed by Brussels, the quota system, is not working”, Minister of Justice László Trócsányi said in an interview published in French language Lebanese daily L’Orient- Le Jour on Tuesday, 7 November.
In view of the unnecessary and discriminative practice of setting short deadlines that it practices in a conceptual manner with relating to Hungary, the Hungarian Government will not be responding to the EC opinion issued with relation to the infringement proceedings concerning the transparency of civil organisations within the shorter than average deadline set by the European Commission.
“Hungary is providing millions of euros in funding to Lebanon, which is suffering under the strain of the migration crisis, and is providing all political support in the interests of enabling the Syrian refugees in the country to return home at the earliest opportunity”, Minister of Justice László Trócsányi said in a telephone statement to Hungarian news agency MTI on 3 November 2017 following a two-day visit to Lebanon.
“Pro-migration liberals are afraid that the distribution of power within the European Union will shift following the 2019 European Parliament (EP) elections, so they will be trying to push through the Soros Plan and introduce the mandatory and permanent quota mechanism for the distribution of migrants within the upcoming period”, Deputy Justice Minister Pál Völner told Hungarian daily Magyar Idők.
“The overwhelming majority of the country does not want parallel societies, the establishment of ghettos and migrants”, Deputy Justice Minister Pál Völner said in an interview for Hungarian political news portal Pesti Srácok.
