The government believes it is important that, upon the transformation of the local research, development and innovation system, they ensure the smooth operation of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences also during the transitional period as our core principle is that no value can be lost, Minister for Innovation and Technology László Palkovics said at a press conference held in connection with the Thursday special general meeting of the Academy.

The Hungarian Tourism Agency (HTA) is launching its first, comprehensive Budapest-centred foreign ad campaign. In the international campaign, which will be launched on 15 May, advertising in online, print and television media will be appearing on the most important foreign source markets for tourism, CEO of the HTA Zoltán Guller announced at a press conference in Budapest on Monday.
Zoltán Guller, Chief Executive of the Hungarian Tourism Agency described the expansion of tourism in March as staggering, and highlighted that there was a double-digit increase both in terms of domestic and foreign guest nights.
Hungary’s supply of natural gas has not been endangered by the gas explosion in Austria. The country’s daily natural gas requirements can be continued to be met smoothly using natural gas imported via Ukraine, gas stored in underground gas storage facilities and Hungary’s own natural gas production.

A Government Decree issued in November of 2016 sets down the project list with relation to Hungary’s short and mid-term railway development strategy, which from the very beginning has also included the renovation of Budapest’s Keleti (Eastern) and Nyugati (Western) railway stations.
