Impact of World Championships on country image is outstanding

The impact of the World Aquatic Championships on Hungary’s image is overwhelmingly positive, foreign tourists are satisfied with the country, Zoltán Guller, Chief Executive of the Hungarian Tourism Agency said at a press conference held on Tuesday in the Duna Arena.
Almost half a million spectators at five venues

Almost half a million, 485 thousand spectators viewed the events of the World Aquatic Championships at five venues in Budapest and Balatonfüred, Minister for National Development Miklós Seszták, President of the Organising Committee of the World Championships which finished on Sunday said at a press conference held on Monday in the Duna Arena.

Julio Maglione, President of FINA, the international federation of water sports described the 17th World Aquatic Championships held in Budapest and Balatonfüred as the best world championships of all time at the closing ceremony held in the Budapest Papp László Sports Arena where Minister for National Development Miklós Seszták also delivered a speech.

According to Minister for National Development Miklós Seszták, the required tasks have been completed, the Budapest World Aquatics Championships are in progress and can be regarded as a great success so far. Speaking on Kossuth Radio’s “Sunday Papers” program, Mr. Seszták said it is best to include a sports facility in a country’s development strategy in such a way that it can later be stated, it was worth it.

The Prime Minister promised railway workers a thirty per cent pay rise up to 2019. Viktor Orbán’s letter regarding this promise was read out by Minister for National Development Miklós Seszták on Saturday in Nyíregyháza, at the Railway Workers’ Day event of the Hungarian railway company MÁV, the Communication Directorate of the railway company informed the Hungarian news agency MTI in a communication.
