Deputy Minister of Human Capacities Bence Rétvári met with the Vatican’s Secretary for Relations with States, Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher in Rome today. Mr. Rétvári put forward a detailed report on the Hungary Helps programme and other Hungarian activities performed in the interests of assisting persecuted Christians.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade appreciates the fact that the Dutch Foreign Minister telephoned him on Friday with relation to the statements made by the outgoing Dutch Ambassador, but stressed: he does not want to exacerbate the conflict, but nobody can defame Hungary without consequences.

“Hungary has ordered its Ambassador to Holland home for consultation, and ambassador-level relations between the two countries will remain on hold for an undetermined period”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó announced on Friday in Budapest.
“Hungarian-owned Magnus Aircraft Cls. is building an aeroplane manufacturing plant in Pécs; the Hungarian Government is contributing 2 billion forints in non-returnable funding towards the 5.16 billion forint (EUR 17 million) project”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó announced at a press conference in Budapest on Thursday.
“The number of Consuls is being increased by eighty, most of whom will be deployed in Western Europe”, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade told reporters on Thursday in Budapest.
