On the Friday edition of the Kossuth Radio programme “180 Minutes”, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán spoke about the “Stop Soros” legislative package. He said that the organisation of illegal migration is a crime that damages national security interests, and therefore it is the duty of the Hungarian state to take action against it. These activities must be prohibited and punished, he said.

Parliament to adopt all bills promised by the government by 20 July

According to the Prime Minister’s communication, by 20 July Parliament will pass all bills which the government promised to enact, including the amendment of the Fundamental Law and the “Stop Soros” legislative package. Viktor Orbán also said they will guarantee a pension rise and a pension premium for next year as well.

On Friday Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief, informed the Hungarian news agency MTI that a recent public statement by President of the World Jewish Congress Ronald S. Lauder – on relocation of the Open Society Foundations (OSF) from Budapest to Berlin – is deeply offensive to Hungary and its citizens. Mr. Havasi said that Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has written to Mr. Lauder regarding the matter.
