“Two heavy goods vehicles and one aeroplane arrived in Hungary on Wednesday bearing 3 million 120 thousand face masks, 2 million pairs of gloves and 164 respirators”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said in a statement to Hungarian news agency MTI.
“Four aeroplanes brought 4.9 million face masks, 2 million pairs of gloves, 193 pieces of protective clothing and 170 thousand test kits to Budapest via the China-Hungary airlift on Tuesday”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said in a statement to Hungarian news agency MTI.
“Hungary and Austria will be tightening their cooperation even further in the upcoming period in the interests of mitigating the negative effects caused by the coronavirus pandemic and rebooting the economy as soon as possible”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó stated following a video meeting with Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg on Tuesday.
“President of the European Council Charles Michel and European Commissioner for Justice Didier Reynders are engaged in a vendetta against Hungary because of migration”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó wrote on his Facebook page on Tuesday.
“Equipment necessary for healthcare protection against the coronavirus epidemic arrived in Hungary last week aboard 21 aeroplanes and 3 heavy goods vehicles”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said on Monday in Parliament.
“Six million masks and three million pairs of gloves arrived in Hungary from China on Saturday”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said in a statement to Hungarian news agency MTI.
“Slovakia is one of Hungary’s most important foreign trade partners; our longest stretch of common border is with them, and it is with them that we are currently working on the largest number of infrastructure links”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó declared on Saturday on Facebook following talks with Slovakian Minister of Economy Richard Sulík.
“The peace and development of the Western Balkans is also in Hungary’s national security and national economic interests, and accordingly Budapest is providing all possible assistance to the region’s countries, including to Albania within the field of European integration, and also in the fight against the novel coronavirus pandemic”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó emphasised in Tirana on Friday at a joint press conference with Albanian Foreign Minister Gent Cakaj.
“Next Wednesday, a border crossing point will be opened for Hungarians working in Austria”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó announced on his Facebook page on Friday morning.
Hungary donated two hundred thousand face masks and ten thousand pieces of medical protective clothing to Bosnia-Hercegovina on Thursday to ensure that the Western Balkan country can maintain its protective capacity. The protective equipment was presented by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó in Sarajevo and Banja Luka.
